I’ve founded companies, raised money, written production code, and built products at both startup scale and internet scale. I started Redditgifts, later joined Reddit when it was still small, and worked across product and engineering as it grew into a global platform. Since then I’ve operated across SaaS, consumer, ecommerce, gaming, and entertainment, rebuilding systems, leading teams, and sitting in the room where strategy, product, engineering, marketing, and operations all collide. Today I am still hands-on, actively building and shipping AI-native systems, designing architectures, writing code, and integrating AI directly into production workflows.

We are entering a new era of building. AI is lowering the barrier to execution and expanding what one person can do. That is exciting, but it is also unsettling. Designers, engineers, product leaders, marketers, founders, everyone is quietly wondering what this means for their craft and their future. It can feel like roles are collapsing into each other. Having worked across multiple industries and technology shifts, and now actively building with AI at the system level, I see something more nuanced. Tools change. Leverage shifts. But clarity, systems thinking, collaboration, and good judgment still determine what endures. The opportunity is not to abandon the past, but to connect it to what is now possible.

Operator Notes is where I explore that connection. Every post is three paragraphs. Beginning, middle, end. An observation, what it might mean, and where it might lead. The constraint is intentional. Most ideas do not need 2,000 words. They need clarity. These are short notes for people building through uncertainty who want to move forward with less noise and more signal.
